Writing updates

Nothing special to report this week. The book on editing for science journals finally approaches completion: all that remains is fixing a few graphics, creating a couple new ones, formatting the tables properly, then regenerating and proofing the index. Not a trivial amount of work, but I can at least see signs of finally finishing. Hallelujah!

Meantime, I stole a guilty couple hours away from working on the book and posted a couple short stories. They're nothing exceptional, but I had fun playing with a couple unconventional ways of looking at things, and I'm mostly pleased with the result.
