Too many books, redux
Dec. 16th, 2009 09:22 amJust came across this charming note in a quotations service I subscribe to:
Books to the ceiling,
Books to the sky,
My pile of books is a mile high.
How I love them! How I need them!
I'll have a long beard by the time I read them.
- Arnold Lobel
Sadly, it's coming to an "us or them" point for me, Shoshanna, and our books. We've seriously considered getting some of those sliding bookshelves with big cranks (what they call "mobile aisle shelving") or one of those floor-to-ceiling deals (complete with ladders on wheels) so we can continue to coexist with our books.
Tantus libros, scanto chron. (You should pardon the pig Latin.)
