Sep. 15th, 2010 10:23 amI'm a big fan of The Simple Dollar newsletter and blog. Even when the information isn't directly applicable (some details focus on the U.S.), or if I already know the basics of what Trent is saying, it's well-written and contains frequent nuggets of useful wisdom.
Today's installment, "Personal Philanthropy: Twenty Ways to Improve the World, Even If You’re Broke", is well worth a read. It contains many great suggestions on ways to improve the world by donating things you don't need anymore, or (as I've done in the past) donating your time.
