Words invented the year you were born

blatherskiteA small holiday gift: The Oxford English Dictionary's online incarnation offers a nifty little feature that lets you look up words that were invented (or at least first appeared in their records) in your birthday year. For word geeks, that's fun to know.
Usage note: At least on my computer, there wasn't any clue that the decade or year on this screen were clickable, which is necessary to get your word. Nonetheless, if you click them despite the lack of feedback, you will get the correct decade/word combination and an appropriately dated word.
Mine is "blag": "An attempt to obtain or achieve something by persuasive talk or plausible deception; a tall story, a bluff or pretence; a hoax or con."
Not sure how that relates to me personally, other than perhaps that Dad or Mom did a little blagging 9 months earlier.
